Functional Restoration Treatment Approach
Delayed recovery from a work injury that results in a chronic pain syndrome is a common and costly problem that can be prevented when goal-oriented functional restoration is undertaken by knowledgeable, experienced, and committed medical rehabilitation pain specialists.
Functional restoration of the injured worker is based upon individual needs and determination of the most cost-effective method to provide medical care, reach maximum medical improvement status, and return to gainful employment. The process starts with a problem solving consultation and assessment followed by a carefully directed treatment approach.
FMG physicians utilize a spectrum of state of the art physician, institutional and clinical services to achieve the best evaluation and treatment outcomes that may include hospital and/or outpatient medical care, medication detoxification/optimization, carefully selected interventional measures, extensive education, counseling, and safe physical reconditioning consisting of both exercise and functional activities.
